I was a little nervous about the slit being too much, but it hits at just the right spot and makes the dress feel sophisticated. The pleating across the middle is surprisingly effective at smoothing everything out.

The pleated detailing down the sides really helps smooth things out without feeling tight, and the neckline is modest but still flattering. I felt put-together wearing it to a dinner party—the fabric has a nice weight that hangs well.
